We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised team player to join the award-winning Vintage Publicity team as a Publicity Assistant on a permanent basis.
Highly commended as ‘Best In-House Team of the Year’ at the national PR Week Awards 2020, come and begin your career in publishing in this high-performing and pioneering publicity team.
Vintage is a division of Penguin Random House, the world’s largest publisher. We publish a broad range of literary fiction and non-fiction, and in the last year we have delivered unmissable campaigns for writers including Margaret Atwood, Nigella Lawson, Caroline Criado-Perez, Jo Nesbo, Anne Enright, Yuval Noah Harari, Jeanette Winterson, Ibram X Kendi, Helen Macdonald, Yanis Varoufakis, Ocean Vuong, Roddy Doyle, Martin Amis, Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, Anne Tyler, Ruth Ware and more!
As Publicity Assistant, you will provide administrative support to ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the team. From scheduling meetings, organising mailings and liaising with other departments and media, to assisting publicists with their campaigns and events, the role requires organisation and efficiency, confident communication skills and exceptional time-management.
You don’t need to have set foot in a publishing house before to grab our attention! We are looking for a proactive candidate with initiative and a love of books who will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In return, we can offer invaluable PR experience, a wide understanding of the publishing process, and the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders in the industry. You will learn first-hand how we plan and deliver industry-leading PR campaigns that launch and nurture writing careers, and create bestsellers.
All interviews will be conducted over video call. We are currently working remotely, but expect this role to transition to our Embassy Gardens office in Vauxhall, London.
