Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen, as we are currently recruiting for a Contract Sales Manager to join our successful team on our Basingstoke contract.

The role will involve travel between 2 of our Leisure sites, Basingstoke Aquadrome and Tadley Swimming Pool.

As the successful candidate you will have direct accountability for the sales membership advisors for each site. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the delivery of membership sales across the contract and work as part of the senior management team.

You will consistently deliver on a hands-on basis the following in an effective manner:

Co-operate targets and expectations in order to attract co-operative clients
Reporting weekly/ monthly regional membership sales performance to the Contract Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Facility Managers
Supporting the Regional Sales Manager with Recruitment and standardised training on all new membership advisors within the contract.
Supporting the Regional Sales Manager through monthly sales launch communication
Generate enquiries via contacting local businesses, groups and society’s creating awareness of the centres for memberships and events.
Organise and manage the internal and external activity for the centre, devising monthly planners and working with the rest of the team to achieve monthly targets.
Promote & sell health & fitness, swimming and swimming lesson memberships within the leisure centre and online.
Communicate, maintain and develop client relationships
Receive incoming and to make outgoing telephone calls relating to all sales activities for memberships and events.
Tour prospects around the facilities.
Complete individual daily, weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
Be proactive in generating sales leads for memberships and events on a day to day basis.
Ensure every aspect of the sales process, in line with the sales SMS manual, is followed professionally from first customer contact to payment and gym induction booking.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a sales orientated role and the planning and delivery of events.

You will have thorough knowledge of Health and Fitness and leisure environments as well as in-depth knowledge of the membership sales process.

You will be able to lead by example and perform performance management related to sales inputs and outputs as well as having the ability to train and coach individuals.

You will have Excellent analytical skills (report dissection) and hands on skills and ability within membership sales.
