We’re Rethink Mental Illness, a leading charity provider of mental health services in England. We support thousands of people through our groups, services, policy, campaigns and advice and information. Our work supports us in delivering on our mission: “A better life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.”
We have a very exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Officer to join our friendly Marketing and Comms team. You will join us on a fixed term contract working full time, 35 hours per week from our Albert Embankment Office.

What will you be doing?
Acting as the first point of contact and providing advice on internal communications to all colleagues across the charity
Managing a range of internal communications channels, for example intranet news and blogs, staff newsletter, Managers’ bulletin, all-staff emails, online events
Developing and implementing internal communications plans, gathering feedback and data to improve and refine internal communications channels, messaging and tools
Developing engaging content that showcases and celebrates achievements in line with our strategy and values
Developing key messages based on our mission, values and strategy
Providing CMS training, advice and support to a team of 30 plus intranet editors
Managing the internal communications schedule
Supporting with brand management, ensuring internal materials and documents are produced in line with our house style
Developing and maintaining an excellent knowledge of current internal communications theory and best practice, actively seeking to gain new knowledge and ideas
Do you have what we are looking for?
Experience in an internal communications role
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to turn complex material into succinct, engaging copy
Creative, with the ability to develop new ways of delivering messages across multiple communication channels
A strong eye for design
Experience of using Photoshop and InDesign
Knowledge of creating and uploading content to intranets using content management systems
