THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your activities include:

Research: Conduct leading-edge research and publish content with focus on technology trends and implications for insurers. Typical Celent research include:

o  Tracking and predicting future technology trends including local insurtech and fintech startups,

o  Describing how emerging technologies can be deployed for strategic advantage within propositions and operating models,

o  Profiling emerging and established insurance technology solutions to help our general insurance clients navigate the complex commercial technology landscape, and

o  Identifying nascent technologies and related players with potential impacts on the general insurance industry.

Celent’s research forms part of a retained advisory service, where our cli­ents have access to our analysts, content and knowledge base to allow them to rapidly make more informed decisions.

Strategy consulting: Work directly with our clients to address specific strategic issues where technology has a major impact. Typical Celent consulting projects include among others:

o  Technology strategy workshops,

o  Target IT architecture definition and alignment,

o  Technology selection due diligence,

o  Vendor market expansion strategy including product positioning and partnership identification,

o  Technology thought leadership paper writing,

o  Speaking engagements at conferences and in webinars.

Our strategy-consulting clients include top insurance firms as well as consultan­cies, venture capitalists, and technology vendors that serve the financial services industry.

Individual profile and Celent brand promotion: Celent analysts are expected to develop a high profile and strengthen the company brand in their domain and region of expertise. This task includes:

o  Regular discussion and interactions with members of the specialized insurance technology press community,

o  Present at insurance forums, conferences especially the events focusing on technology for instance the Fintech and Insurtech conferences,

o  Be available to the technology and insurance community for discussions and questions.

REQUIRED PROFILE

We are looking for an energetic and ambitious senior analyst to contribute towards and help shape the client agenda for the EMEA insurance sector within Celent, working within a team of like-minded analysts charged with creating content for and providing advice to executives within property and casualty insurers, commercial MGAs, their platforms and the surrounding ecosystem of market participants.

The candidate should be comfortable with building trusted relationships with clients from across the sector, at a variety of levels from an IT strategy and architect practitioner level through to C-level. This is primarily a business technology strategy role as opposed to business or market strategy.
