Under the direction of the Human Resources Generalist, Hattiesburg Engines, this position will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department. The student’s activities will range from HR support duties (ACT processing, recruiting, etc.) to more complex assignments including support for the manufacturing associates.
-Responsible for heading and supervising the Engines Co-op Program including working with hiring managers and co-ops and recommending improvements.
-Responsible for supporting the recruiting process.This includes sourcing KCM for resumes, pre-screening, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers.
-Assist with completion of ACTs(Authorized Corporate Transactions).
-Assist the exempt and non-exempt hiring process to include, attending job fairs, administering cognitive testing, assist with interviewing, and reference checking.
-Work with Corporate Human Resources on new hires and transfer associates.
-Assist with training to include new employee orientations.
-Answer questions and assist in general Human Resource questions and concerns.
-Assist the HR Generalists and Managers on all other projects assigned.
Education and Experience
-Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or Business
Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources.
-Strong attention to detail as well as good written and verbal communications are a must.
-Must have strong computer skills (MS Office).
-Must be flexible and have superior multi–tasking abilities.
