Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are the uniformed members of the Assistant Staff, who work for the supplement and support of regular Police Officers, to provide a more public assurance to improve the quality of life in the community and provide a visible and accessible uniform Hampshire Police PCSO patrols the streets, trust and trust with our communities.

Eligibility of Hampshire Police Jobs for PCSOs

You must be at least 18 years old and have no criminal record; Some small crimes can not get you out, but if you are worried then you should check with us. You should also have good financial status. You will have to stay in the UK for three years immediately before applying (please check with us if you do not have one). Any tattoo should not offend others, and you will need to be able to use the computer.

Hampshire Police Jobs for PCSOs medical and fitness checks, you need to:

  • have 6/36 uncorrected vision or 6/12 corrected in either eye AND 6/6 in both eyes. Laser correction is fine after six weeks, but severe colour vision deficiencies (monochromat)will prevent you from joining
  • have a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 29
  • be able to reach level 5.4 on a 15-metre shuttle run
  • push at least 34kg on average
  • pull at least 35kg on average
