Job Description

  • Demonstrable experience assisting at the executive level

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an Executive Assistant to support 2 Directors in the EMEA Public Sector team. This exciting position requires high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism whilst dealing with senior professionals both inside and outside the company. The successful candidate will require high attention to detail, bias for action, detailed planning and strong organisational skills.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate well and be able to take swift, effective action whilst proactively solving complex problems with little or no guidance. The position requires the ability to work successfully within a team environment, build effective working relationships, maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization and become the “go-to” person for support activities.

AWS EMEA SARL Jobs Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Directors, the public sector leadership team, other Amazon groups, AWS partners, and customers
  • Manage complex calendar and scheduling requirements
  • Provide seamless support to senior leaders using prioritization of business activities
  • Travel coordination (both domestic and international)
  • Expense reporting
  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding item
  • Drive key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all hands meetings, supply ordering, and cyclical events such as annual planning sessions and performance reviews)
  • This position will work with other assistants throughout the Public Sector team and across the rest of the company
  • Ability to quickly learn organizational structures, team objectives and adopt Amazon values and vision
  • Ability to handle administrative details independently while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed
  • Positive, proactive, detail oriented and driven to succeed
  • Creative approach to problem solving and event planning
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and deal with professionals inside and outside the company
