1. Acts as Mortgage Insurance (MI) subject matter expert and oversees MI relationships

2. Develops, maintains and enhances departmental processes

3. Maintains departmental SharePoint site, and

4. Supports Agency Relationship Managers on projects effecting or influenced by the Agencies.

Mortgage Insurance:

– Ensure positive interactive working relationship between MI companies and key internal business partners;

– Lead the review and analysis of, and obtain appropriate approvals for MI Master Policy changes. Negotiate with MI companies to ensure acceptable terms and conditions;

– Analyze impacts of pricing, guidelines and servicing requirement changes published by MI companies. Communicate changes to key internal business partners. Negociate favorable resolution with MI companies on operational or transactional issues as needed;

– Ensure compliance with Citi corporate Third Party Management requirements, ensuring due diligence and safety and soundness principals are applied to MI relationships. Assist Counterparty Risk in obtaining annual financial statements, licenses and other documentation requested for analysis;

– Provide subject matter expertise and MI provider engagement to support existing mortgage insurance processes, new products and programs and implementation of other MI related projects.

Citi Careers Agency Relations Support:

– Continued analysis of department processes: Identify, implement and document internal process improvements. Recognize and decommission unnecessary processes. Look for opportunities and formulate new, effective processes to support;

– Identify and develop SharePoint enhancements. Troubleshoot departmental SharePoint issues;

– Process SharePoint Access requests

– Represent Agency Relations on Regulatory and Agency Change meetings and project teams; identify impacts of agency changes and understand the agency implications of regulatory changes.

– Provide back up support to Agency Relationship Managers as point of contact with the Agencies (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac).

Citi Careers: Qualifications

Minimum 5 years mortgage experience; Advanced understanding of the mortgage lending and servicing process, including fulfillment, underwriting, servicing, products, pricing and overall economics of mortgage lending; Advanced problem-solving skills and effective inter-personal and relationship management skills; Ability to effectively communicate with senior-level management within and outside of Citi; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Effective presentation skills, experience in presenting to small and large audiences; Ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve corporate goals; Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
